Greetings.. I've lurked around these forums for years but never really had any questions. I have been in IT for 20+ years and have handled just about everything out there. However, I have a situation that I am trying to find a solution for and am hoping someone here may have done something similar. Hopefully, this old dog can learn a new trick.
I work for a large corporation and they recently shut down the plant I have had my office in for years. Lucky me, I got to keep my job. I am now working from home, but have the need to connect multiple workstations and servers to our corporate network at the router level. Cisco AnyConnect client works great for one-off connections on a single workstation, but the nature of what I do requires me to have computers connected to it even before the OS is loaded. Hence the need to have this connectivity at the router level. Because of some stupid policies and of course costs I need to basically have a router that supports a connection identical to that of a Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client but can share it with the LAN side of the router.
I've looked at several ways of doing it but everything I have read seems to take me on a wild goose chase. If any of you can help I'll be sure to buy you a beer or cranberry juice or whatever..
Thanks in advance..

Okay, let's get straight to setup the Asus router modem. The DSL modem is main one plugged into telephone line to ISP (Internet Service Provider), it has a 4 port LAN (Local Area Network) connection and the Asus router that is to be used for VPN is connected to the DSL modem from its own modem/DSL port to the DSL LAN port. OK an update on the Cisco Anyconnect / ASUS issue. Having tried adjusting all of the settings available on the router relating to pass-through etc. The connection still exhibited the same issue. Reluctantly I reinstalled my BT home hub together with its associated DSL.

Installed Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobile Client on a new Asus CM6870, downgraded to Windows 7 Pro. It worked fine for 3 days, establishing VPN connections with my workplace without a probllem. Then it repeatedly failed to connect.
I attempted an uninstall/re-install, and the install now fails as well, returning the following error: The VPN client agent was unable to create the interprocess communication depot. When I do manage to get it re-installled, it works sometimes, then fails to establish connections other times. I am not an IT professional, so trying to diagnose the issue by reviewing the Windows/Inf/setupapi.app.log and .dev files is a no go. I do not hold a contract with Cisco so I am not authorized to open a support ticket, or receive phone support (again, I tired).

- The blue router on the left is a Cisco router with VPN capabilities and the red computer on the right is any computer that is running the Cisco VPN Client. After applying the config below the remote access user will be able to access the device at 192.168.11.2 as if it was on the same network as it.
- Also, I noticed that connecting to Cisco VPN somehow rewrites the routing table and the modem becomes unreachable for every device on the net, like if Cisco had rewritten the network table or had registered itself as the real router. It's completely obvious that Asus flawlessly ignores such a.
- Anyone has experience to setup a site to site VPN with two ASUS RT-AX88U router. I was able to setup OpenVPN from branch office to the main office router, but I want to have network access from the main office network to the branch office also.
